PROJECT SHAKTI

An initiative that aims to empower rural women and help them gain financial independence, increase self-reliance and security, and inspire them to broaden their horizons and create new possibilities for themselves.

The rural migrant workers of India struggle to open a bank account due to the nature of their jobs. They experience difficulties in attaining the required legal documents to open a bank account and are often unable to keep it open due to balance requirements. These issues hinder their financial growth

I am hosting camps to assist 100+ women in opening a bank account and aligning them with appropriate welfare schemes.

GOALS:

  • To assist 100+ women to open bank accounts.

  • Help in attaining appropriate welfare schemes.

  • Fundraise 90,000 INR to facilitate and fund the project.

  • Partner with 4-5 existing organizations to make this project possible.

  • Hold camps in 3 different locations.

  • Spread knowledge and awareness about existing government schemes and break the stereotype regarding banks.

  • Empower women to gain financial independence and self-reliance.
